I live in New York City, and yet the channel guide alignment is persistently incorrect leading to difficulty in my ability to properly record content. Notably, Weigel Broadcasting operates a trio of stations that covers the metropolitan area. As of early 2026, their primary presence is through WJLP, WZME, and secondarily through a very low power station known as WNWT-LD under a channel-sharing agreement with WJLP. WJLP (Middletown Township, NJ / NYC) is the flagship for MeTV in the New York City area. Interestingly, while it uses physical channel 3, it maps to virtual channel 33 in order to avoid interference with the CBS affiliate WFSB channel 3 in Hartford, Connecticut. These stations include:
33.1: MeTV (Classic TV)
33.2: MeTV Toons (Classic Animation)
33.3: Laff (Comedy)
33.4: WEST (Westerns – Launched late 2025)
33.6: The Nest
33.7: Story Television (History/Documentaries)
33.8: MeTV+
WZME (Bridgeport, CT) serves as the home for Story Television and also provides additional coverage for the northern parts of the NYC market, although there is some overlap.
43.1: Story Television
43.2: MeTV+
43.3: MeTV (Classic TV)
43.4: MeTV Toons (Classic Animation)
43.8: Retro TV
43.9: Heartland
43.12: OnTV4U
Bottom line: My Tablo channel guide only correctly lists some but certainly not all of these stations, while erroneously claiming other stations carry programming which does not correspond to the programming guide on Tablo TV. But given that Weigel Broadcasting is one of the largest broadcasters in the United States, it seems odd that most of these stations are not even correctly listed in New York City, thereby denying many the ability to properly record from broadcast television using Tablo. I hope Tablo TV can fix these notable errors.
