I understand that tablo fixed the issue of being able to watch live TV if an internet connection is lost, but as soon as I lose my internet connection my tablo seems to drop off my local wifi network. All my apps - on Shield TV, Roku and my phone just end up spinning while trying to find the tablo. The blue and white lights keep flashing alternately. Reset, reboots do nothing. I have a TP link Deco mesh wifi network, with three stations, during the latest outage I moved one of the AP’s close to my tablo to enable me to connect via Ethernet. I could see it connected in the Deco app but the white and blue lights kept pulsing on the tablo as if it was still trying to make the wifi connection. This still did not allow my TV apps to connect. I’m thinking it may be more of an issue with the connection that tablo makes to the wifi network but I’m baffled as how to fix it. Tablo is on the latest firmware and my TV apps are up to date.

No, it’s just when I have an internet outage.
This morning I decided to see if reserving an IP address on my router made a difference. Then I did a test by disconnecting my internet source from my wifi network. The live show immediately stopped displaying, I was then able to see offline mode, but it only let me look at my recent recording, no live guide and I got a message that I did not have any OTA channels in my lineup (or some other word like that). I closed Tablo app on my Nvidia Shield and went back in and the app was not able to connect back to the tablo again at all. The TP Link Deco router app shows that Tablo is connected though now. The blue light was steady on the Tablo.
That is strange.
The guide should change when you go into offline mode. You won’t be able to see live streaming channels, but your over-the-air ones should be visible.

That article describes the behavior I would expect but unfortunately it does not work for me. One my internet connection is gone, my Nvidia Shield app, Roku app and phone app can no longer connect to my Tablo. I never get past the screen where it is trying to find the Tablo, and it just hangs there.
