No Video on Fire HD 8 or 10 Tablets 4th Gen

I have a new Amazon Fire HD 8 tablet and there is sound but no video, just a blank screen, when trying to watch live or recorded programs. Reading other threads it looks like this is also a problem on the Fire HD 10.

My Tablo is on version 2.2.54 and the Fire HD 8 app is version 1.4.

Apparently, there was a problem with the app in version 1.3 that caused it to hang on install that was fixed in version 1.4. That was nice but the app is basically useless without video.

Does anyone know of a work around or whether this problem is going to be fixed?

It may be a good idea to reach out to our technical support team: https://support.tablotv.com/hc/en-us/#contact. They should be able to help.

Thanks for the reply. I submitted a request through the online form.

I just received this automated reply:

Thank you for reaching out. We have received reports from customers experiencing no video on their Amazon Fire HD 8 and 10 tablets when using the Tablo app. Our team is currently investigating this issue, but we do not have an estimated time for a fix at the moment.

We’ve tagged development on such. Unfortunately, we don’t have an ETA on a resolution at this time.

So after months of frustration that my Roku StreamBar wasn’t working with Tablo, my wife bought me a Fire 10 tablet for Christmas. How disappointing to discover Tablo doesn’t work on the Fire 10 (audio, but no video).

Please someone, fix this!

Interesting. I have a Roku Streambar and it’s been working fine for about a year. Mine is model 9102X.

George…to be precise, I have a StreamBar SE unit. This didn’t work after Roku 14.0 released until the recent changes to Tablo firmware and app.

I opened a support ticket and received the following response:

"Thank you for reaching out. We have received reports from customers experiencing no video/audio on their Android devices, including the Fire 10 tablet. Our team is currently investigating this issue, but we do not have an estimated time for a fix.

We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Thanks,
Tablo"

Does anyone know how long the Android tablets have not been working? This is sad.
