My Tablo died less than a month after my warranty expired and support tells me there is nothing they can do. I just saw another post from someone who bought one with days of my original purchase died in the same window. What’s going on with quality?
Maybe it’s something simple like the power supply. Some of the electronics I’ve purchased in the last 2 years come with some scary cheap power supplies.
For future reference, if somebody is looking in amazon for a replacement or backup power supply for tablo, what specs should they look for?
I checked the power supply first. Sadly it didn’t work.
If it’s the power supply, you can order a new one here.
Got it. Thanks.
But if my original PS failed early, I might not want to buy the same product a second time.
Lots of offerings on Amazon, who would deliver faster. What specs would i look for?
The specs should be printed on the original power supply in tiny, microscopic print. All except for the barrel size. The important numbers follow the OUTPUT tag - 12.0Volt DC, 1.5Amp, 18.0Watt

what is the barrel size?
thanks?
The barrel size is the size of the cylindrical plug that supplies power to the device. They come in different sizes. The Gen4 OEM Tablo power supply should be the proper fit. If you buy one on Amazon, it may not be the proper size. However, you can buy power supplies that have adapters with different sized barrel plugs, so one should fit.
The top power supply has a single barrel plug that may or may not fit. The bottom power supply comes with interchangeable barrel plug adapters.
