NextGen TV ATSC 3.0 OTA TV Says It Won’t Limit DVR Recording By Using DRM To Delete Your Recordings

Apparently NextGen TV ATSC 3.0 OTA TV will have the same recording capabilities as ATSC 1.0. See the following article.

Yes, but right now there is encryption that’s preventing it. No tuner can record currently but some are working towards it. Tablo has a few articles about it on their site somewhere.

Supposedly, the Zapperbox can now record DRM encrypted programming.

Tablo is definitely falling way behind the competition. Their new 4th Gen DVR and apps are full of problems and missing features the legacy Tablos currently have. If they can’t get an ATSC 1.0 DVR working properly I don’t have much faith in them producing an ATSC 3.0 DVR.

Since Scripps bought this company everything has gone down hill. Unless they make immediate changes, I don’t expect this company to survive.
