NEW - Tablo Apple TV App Update (v. 1.7.1)

Happy Thursday Tablo fans -

A new update for our Apple TV app is heading your way!

This includes a feature that many of you have been waiting for - an on-screen guide overlay for Live TV that we call ‘Quick Channel Select’. This feature also includes a ‘Last Channel’ option to make switching between two programs easy.

How It Works
To bring up the ‘Quick Channel Select’ overlay, swipe down on the Apple TV remote during playback of Live TV.

‘Last Channel’ will appear as an option at the top of the channel list once you have tuned to two different channels. To return to the previously viewed channel, simply swipe down to call up the ‘Quick Channel Select’ overlay and then select the ‘Back to’ channel item.

How To Get It
If you don’t see it already, your Apple TV should automatically update over the next 24 hours. You can also go directly to the App Store, find the Tablo app and hit ‘Update’.

Here’s what’s new:

What happened to the recordings menu? Right now it’s sorted by the recording date, not by the show. So to find an episode of This Old House from 2001, I have to scroll and scroll and scroll…

Can you please go back to the way it used to be?

you just have to click on recordings, you’ll have all the recordings sorting options from there, most recent, movies, tv shows…

Not on the appleTv. It’s sorted by the day it was recorded.

just move over to recordings, instead of scrolling down to browse it’s content, press in the middle section of your remote and it will pop all the recordings sorting options…

Indeed. It should look like this:

@ericsodt You’re wanting ‘ALL’ or ‘TV Shows’ vs. Recent.
