If you haven’t already done this, try restarting your router, then Tablo, then your streaming device (or TV) where the app is installed, in this order.
Roll back 2.2.58
I upgraded an unused gen 2 to 2.2.58. I have a station the is full power HI-VHF all green dots and it also has a low powered UHF translator that has orange dots.
Before the upgrade I did a channel scan and the all green dot channel was listed. After the upgrade the orange dot channel is listed. This is the same behavior as the gen 4.
I went to my gen 1 and gen 3 and rescanned and the all green dot channel appeared.
I also purposely didn’t register my device as a gen 4 device but it seems that it now continuously phones home and shows up on the my-status page. I also can’t turn off “Viewing Data”. This is ridiculous.
Firmware release 2.2.58 was suppose to maintain legacy functionality but allow gen 4 app access to legacy devices.
It appears that the extend live functionality has been changed.
Proper legacy extend live functionality is the extend time is 50% of the record time up a maximum of 2 hours. Last night I recorded the 3 hour MLB Dodgers game on a gen 3 without the new firmware and a gen 2 with the new firmware.
The old firmware had the extend time at 1 1/2 hours and the new firmware at 30 minutes.
How long is it going to take to fix this
after upgrading my Legacy Tablo to firmware version 2.2.58, will I still be able to access it from a web browser?
Yes, still works.
Thank you. With this information I went for it and can now also confirm it!
sure wish it was for Legacy HDMI too.
Manual recording bug found.
When setting up a new manual recording on Rokus…
The final confirmation step only momentarily flashes on the screen, resulting in setup failure.
*Still possible to setup, but you have to be quick.
After setting up the options for the recording…
Then hitting continue…
Immediately press OK (center button) to try and lock it in. Gotta be quick.
So after testing it all comes down to that confirmation screen that you need to hit okay on before it flashes away.
For REPEATING, you instantly need to hit the center okay button.
For ONE-TIME, you instantly have to hit down then the center okay button, but again you need to be quick.
Channels on Live TV:
So I noticed it does work the way I suggested once you begin using it the first time, just not when you first enter from the guide.
If you have 60 channels and enter from the guide at channel 30, you’ll then have to start all the way from your first channel again.
