Purchased a new Firestick 4K Select and can’t find Tablo app. What gives?
If I’m not mistaken (and I usually am) this is the latest Fire TV Stick model that switched over to VegaOS. There’s no Tablo app for this new OS. Send it back and get the 4k Plus or 4k MAX.
Roku has a similar non-working issue with one of their newer base model devices that just doesn’t have the capability to decode what Tablo puts out.

The 4k Max is on sale today.
Amazon is pretty (deliberately?) vague about this but the current 4k Max (above) has the OLD ANDROID-BASED OS, so you can download/sideload apps (including the TABLO app) on it.
It should work, we have the 4K Max on the Tablo compatibility list: Tablo on Amazon Fire TV - Tablo TV
I have several 4K max fire sticks. Tablo app works just fine.
Fire Stick 4k Select uses Vega OS - the OP bought one.
I did return the select one and ordered one with correct operating system. Thanks
