Tablo Connect for out-of-home viewing
I would like all 4th Generation Tablo apps to allow out-of-home viewing like Tablo Connect on legacy devices so you can watch live TV and recordings and schedule new recordings away from your home network.
Why not? What is the difference between this and viewing on PC/Mac? One is local network connection and the other is remote I guess.
It would be more difficult (as Tablo asserts) for Live Streaming due to MPEG4 transcoding realtime. I prefer to be the judge with fiber bandwidth available. My cell phone has 5g+ which appears to be faster than some Wi-Fi.
But it should be cake to stream recordings MPEG4. If you use an external HDD which is stored all MPEG-2 more bandwidth.
