I just noticed the Home screen is completely blank on a new gen 4 install I just completed. Everything else is fine (except for slow guide updates). Client is a new Roku stick. All firmware/software is up to date. All the usual debug steps complete. Anyone seen this issue? I haven’t after a couple of years of Tablo experience.
I thought we were seeing this blank Home screen a few days ago.
Sigh. Sometimes this whole Tablo experience is like a “Whack-a-Mole” game.
That was broken for us for days. Now channel scan is broken.
Fixed now for me. You may want to retry.
I had to uninstall/reinstall and change to a nearby zip code for my setup.
I had this issue before at a friends home and we changed the ISP DNS server on their router seemed to help too. ISP DNS servers suck @$$$! Also the Zip Code changing helps too.
I had the opposite. Home Screen was there, Left Column items were gone.
Changed to another Houston zip code. Rescan and guide update completed normally. Power cycled Tablo. Cleared cache. yada yada. Still no joy on the Home screen, on both Roku and iOS client.
Changing DNS server is a PITA on XFinity gateway. It’s currently 75.75.75.75.
I’m thinking it might take a factory reset and new setup on the Tablo.
I hate to tell you my sad, old and long story. But I’m goin’ to. (Use Gabby Hayes voice)
Last month or two I was havin’ a problem with my Home screen on my LGTV. I spent hours tryin’ everthin’… Jest like you done. Even the EAS protocol.
Then I happened to see another poor owner sufferin’ the same thang.
Along came @TabloTV and I got a new email from @TabloEngineering askin’ fer my device serial number.
No wait. That was another problem… Along came. No. Anyway they responded that the product team fixed the problem.
Voila! Slicker than goose grease it was fixed.
Now that is some funny stuff right there. Click on this…
And how did that thread end? Resolved?
