Every time that there’s a power loss, the Tablo never connects back to the internet. It just blinks the blue light. It’s so aggravating to have to go to device and hit the reset button.
as in reset, do you mean reboot? or factory reset?
Mine does the exact same thing also. I have to push the button on the underside then go to my Iphone app and wait for it to connect. I use the iphone app to wait for it to connect because it is easier then turning on the TV and going to the firestick.
I would encourage you to attach your Tablo to a UPS. I have almost every computer/network related device in my home on several UPS devices, and it really helps (unless there is a long power outage and everything starts beeping over and over again. )
Are you saying a legacy device wouldn’t connect under this type of power outage. And if the legacy connects why shouldn’t the gen 4.
If your network has also gone down due to the power outage, maybe the Tablo doesn’t wait long enough for the network to get back up before giving up.
Well in my case the router is on a UPS so that did not go down. Tablo is not. I thought this was normal now not so much.
In 2024 what OS doesn’t do retries when the TCP/IP driver fails to obtain an IP address from a DHCP server.
With my gen 4 I leave it powered off for a week at a time. When it is then powered up it fails to become “ready” for access until I do a reset. It’s not blinking but probably phoning home before coming into ready.
No just hit the button on the bottom to reboot, not a complete reset.
