I have tablo v4, 4 tuner with Firestick 4k and external WD 2 TB hard drive. I was wondering if there is a maximum time I can pause live TV before it restarts the show by itself.
It really depends on the memory in the set-top box rather than anything else. Once that memory is full, it will start playing again.

Yes.
You could just try it. It might give your 30 minutes, but I doubt it would give you an hour.
Is this true? That paused content is stored on the client side and recorded content on the Tablo? If so, this may be why the “record paused content from the beginning” feature some people have been requesting may be challenging to do.
