Manual recordings stopped working in legacy app with new update

I just discovered that manual recordings no longer seem to be working on my legacy Tablo quad since updating to the newest firmware. I can easily set the manual recordings as I have always successfully done. If I go to scheduling looking in ALL and also looking in the upcoming soon I DO see the shows ready to be saved. ---- > BUT it does not record. If I go to live and view the upcoming set recording it is NEVER highlighted anymore. All recordings set from the guide work flawlessly but loss of the manual recordings is a little bit of a bummer because some of the news stuff repeats in the middle of the night and the guide set shows record both times regardless of how I configure the timers. Manual made this easy. So now I have to delete worthless to me recordings that happen every single night. Too bad to lose the manual configs. Shame really.

FYI - I am only using the legacy Tablo app nothing Gen 4 at all.

The update shouldn’t remove your legacy app’s ability to record manually.

If you haven’t already, it may be a good idea reboot or powercycle your Tablo.

If that doesn’t work, please consider contacting Tablo Suppport.

If you would, let us know what devices you set the recordings up on with your Tablo and if recordings set on other apps/platforms are having this problem?

Strangely the manual “test” recording I set to run last night ran fine. That manual recording was set using the Tablo legacy app on an ONN 4K Plus device. Its Saturday so the family has the device in use until later today. I am also going to set a different manual timer using one of my 4K Max firesticks also using the Tablo legacy app.

I do wonder if somehow the guide being updated overnight corrected something. Just a random thought with no basis — just saying.

FYI - all my devices are Cat6A connected to fiber so wifi is not a factor in my network.

Promised I would come back and report. Manual recordings are working perfectly for me. Must have been one of those glitches that just make you go Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!

My legacy Tablo running the newest firmware has never run any better. Any under the radar fixes you did with this new firmware may have nothing you see that effects “commercial skip” but that feature has been working flawlessly for the past week. My wife loves you guys for it!!

I have legacy Tablo’s and both will not record properly after the March 2026 soft wear change. I get double recording with my recording when they work one hour before my schedule recoding and then my recording . Others recording are erratic, sometimes no recording at all . Some shows do not start on time but 20 minutes later.
