Live TV starts at beginning of show every time when using Chromecast

While watching a show on a tablet or PC and then deciding to cast it to the TV on either a 1st gen or 2nd gen chromecast, the show on the TV always starts at the beginning of the tablo buffer, which could be upwards of an hour in the past. The actual casting works fine, but it always starts at the beginning of the tablo buffer. I have no transport control, I am unable to catch up to the live show, as a matter of fact, trying to skip 30 sec ahead starts the program back at the beginning of the tablo buffer. Something is seriously wrong with this product to cause such a problem. If I exit the casting, the show that was being cast plays on the tablet or computer at the live position again. HINT, I am not talking about casting a recorded show…I am talking about casting a live show.
Running the latest firmware, wired ethernet, wd elements 1tb HD.

Does anyone have a work around?
Thanks much…

I complained about this a long time ago. Nope, their solution is don’t use chromecast for live tv.

Seeing the start at the beginning issue here. I have not tested from the same LAN as the Tablo. I’m in another state now. The Chrome browser while casting shows the recorded show at less than 2 minutes long. Trying to skip forward restarts the show at the beginning even if the cast was started at 30 minutes. The chromecast is my only streaming TV device in the RV.

The chrome browser works properly while not casting to the TV, but that’s hard to watch while doing other things on the laptop.

So, Netflix is all I’m watching in the RV.

I’ve had the same issue with Tablo and Chromecast for the past year. Makes you wonder why the claim Chromecast support. My opinion is that it flat out doesn’t work. I’m very disappointed.
