List of Free Streaming Channels Leaving Tablo December 31st

Hi folks –

As 2025 wraps up, our agreements to carry a handful of less popular free streaming channels are also ending.

Starting January 1st, these channels will no longer be available via the 4th Generation Tablo platform:

  • Ghosts Are Real
  • In The Garage
  • Ultimate Builds
  • FBI
  • Funny Favorites
  • Unique Lives
  • Paws Claws
  • Primetime Soaps
  • Living With Evil
  • Family Unscripted
  • Nikita
  • Generation Drama
  • Cartoon Rewind
  • Love Marriage
  • The Ellen Channel
  • CNN Xpress
  • On the Telley
  • Bodas
  • Tu Discovery
  • Aventura
  • Crimen

These channels will automatically disappear from your channel lineup overnight on December 31st, so no action is required on your part.

We’re sorry if you’re sad to see some of these channels go. However, periodically removing channels allows us to bring in new channels that better match your interests. It also ensures the free streaming channel lineup on Tablo remains curated and high-quality.

Thanks for the update. The only one of these that I ever watched was In The Garage. Sadly, that was a channel that was not available for recording, so I only caught it occasionally. If recording was available, I would have made more use of it.

I always considered it odd that unrecordable channels are offered with a DVR product. Those channels are of no use to me.

DVR local channels is the only reason I bought Tablo. I don’t watch anything but OTA locals.

Cool. They are pretty much redundant as LG Channels has 429 channels with the same content.

Which I still don’t watch.

No real impact other than wondering why my channel count went down so drastically after a recent scan. It couldn’t be that crappy of reception!

yep, they have to do something for us here in Canada. Samsung TV can do it…I am holding off buying the new model because of this.

I am still waiting for an update to the live scheduling that shows MeTVToons on channel 54.4 in Columbus, GA. The station was changed from DABL to MeTVToons over a year ago. Without the proper listings for this channel, it’s hard to record anything. Please help with this request. Thanks.

Unfortunately addressing cases of incorrect TV Guide Data is quite complicated. We are working on some changes that will hopefully streamline and bulletproof the process, but we don’t have an ETA to share on that right now.

Anything getting added besides Historian? And anything that can be recorded? Would be nice to get some of the channels not covered in every area, such as Comet and Roar.

Nothing is bullet proof. Users should be able to record from an OTA channel if they need to.

Every hear of manual recording. I heard this feature exits on the tablo legacy product. Maybe someone should actually investigate this feature.

I didn’t buy TABLO for watching streaming channels. Could care less! All I want is a reliable means of watching and recording a limited number of OTA broadcast channels. Please explain why, in the six weeks I’ve owned the Tablo gen 4, I’ve had to deal with server glitches EVERY Single Day!

It exists in the legacy app/product. I’ve used it a LOT when the guide was either missing for a channel or incorrect (they messed up on our local IPTV station recently… but that was an easy fix, I simply clicked to record the show anyway even though the guide said it wasn’t new - I knew it was new)
I’ve used manual recording a whole lot and for one channel, had over 200 episodes of a show that were not in the guide but the station’s web site said it would be broadcast at xx time
I LOVE that ability, otherwise, I can show 2 or 3 local OTA stations that are not in the guide, but record shows on them anyway using the manual feature.

We have hundreds of free streaming channels via LG channels. Sadly, no way to record them. The list is huge, from family to horror, westerns, movies of all sort, Hispanic interests, Black interests, HGTV shows, History channel shows, Discovery channel shows… If even some similar channels were possible, my wife would be happy thus I would be happy and that would make our cats happy.

In the Garage was awesome! I can’t find American chopper anywhere else… Please bring it back!
