Why did they get rid of a good product (Legacy) and give us a untested bug infested product (4th gen). I am confused.

Presumably profits. Many of these “bugs” I’ve read about have been plaguing tablo devices for some time. They seem to just be carrying them forward. Then again, some user have issues while many have trouble-free experiences.
Not buying the product will not be good for profits
Different company acquired the “old” Tablo company. Very different company.
