Legacy Network Issue

I have an OG Legacy that I recently moved from one part of the house to another and, in doing so, I found that when I plugged it in at the new location it’s not booting up.

I get both the Tablo and the hard drive both doing a synchronized quick (not slowly or pulsing) flash, once per second. I checked this Tablo LED Status guide but this behavior isn’t listed.

I checked the power supply and it was putting out 12.16VDC. Has anyone seen this before? I’d prefer not to have to do a hard reset and lose what recordings I have. I also see that neither of the Ethernet ports (on switch and on Tablo device) are lit up.

Tablo LED flashing once per second means a network issue.
If your Tablo set up to connect via WiFi, it may be too far from the wireless router, or something is blocking its wireless signal.

Thanks. According to the document, a network issue is 1 pulse (slowly) on/off per second. Mine is a flash once per second, not a pulse.

Can you move it back to its original location to test? If it works there the problem is probably with your network/ethernet…not the TABLO…

Yes, thanks. I tried that but no luck. It could be that the power supply isn’t putting out enough juice. The hard drive works when connected to my Linux laptop, so i might try to locate a 12V 1A power supply to see of thats the issue. If not, then maybe the factory reset is the last option.

EDIT: I should add that i didn’t pay attention to what the blue light was doing before I unplugged and moved it.

Found an older 12VDC 1.0A power supply, plugged it in, and voila - working again.

Glad you got it working.
I recommend a larger power supply. I have a 3A for my Legacy.
There is a thread here somewhere about larger replacement power supplies.
I’ll see if I can find it.
