Legacy 2T drive showing No storage

2T drive with 75% space available in Legacy 10 yrs no problems now shows No Storage. Tried reformatting which won’t do anything. Won’t record nor show previous recordings.

Ya, sorry you’re running into this. I had a similar problem with my 1TB WD drive powered by the USB on the Tablo. Some ideas…

I replaced the Tablo power supply with one with a slightly higher amperage rating. I don’t know with certainty if that is what solved the problem, but it’s been fine since. It’s not just about the voltage of the power supply. It’s also about the amps available to power all the things inside the Tablo [network, processor(s), and hard drive] that may have degraded over time.

Then again, the drive might be getting old, too. I’ll say that I have the original drive on my OG Legacy, just like you, which is 10+ years old.

Since you’ve already tried reformatting, you could plug it into Windows and reformat it to NTFS file system and run a chkdsk from the command prompt to see if there are any errors. Or, use the HD manufacture’s software to check the disk. Once that’s done you can reinstall it back on the Tablo and have the Tablo reformat it again to the Linux EXT4 file system.
