If you haven’t done this already, one supposed fix is to unplug power to your Roku for 30-60 seconds and plug it back in. Then check it again.
Been there, done that, got the t-shirt. ZZZZZZZZZZ. Ready to just go back to rabbit ears and tin foil. Back to the good old days without all the technology that is sending harmful invisible rays through our bodies.
So is it a Tablo issue or a ROKU issue when watching live TV from the Tablo guide jumps back to the guide after a few minutes of watching? Also have experienced the Roku remote locking up in the middle of playback. Then nothing you can do except hit the home button and start all over again and again. This is happening quite a bit and is becoming a nuisance.
Would really like someone to take ownership of this issue (Roku points to Tablo, Tablo points to Roku.
I have also had that issue, where the remote does nothing in the app and you have to hit Home and start all over.
Yes, we are well beyond that step.
This has been an ongoing issue with more than one Roku in my house. I have since had the entire house “unplugged” recently, as they just installed solar panels and had to put in the interconnect. Full hard power-off of everything for probably 20 minutes.
This is not a “Roku problem”, Tablo support has already acknowledged they can reproduce the issue, it’s clearly a bug in their software. I have an open support ticket.
Yea, like back in the day when TV signals weren’t sending harmful invisible rays through our bodies!
Just replaced my broken Tablo 4th Gen with new replacement. Seemed to work just fine. Watching Monday night football tonight but every couple of minutes the programs drops channel 7 in Detroit and goes back to the Live guide. After about a dozen times I have moved my antenna to my tv to continue watching the game. Previously rebooted both Roku and Tablo but same results. Tomorrow is another day!
Is the gen 4 amplifier on. Not enough or too much amplification.
Having the same issue. This is incredibly frustrating.
Yes the amplification is on.
I am having the exact same issue. Only amplifier is off since I have a preamp on my antenna.
I don’t think the amplifier has anything to do with it. I have had one for a year, it died and Tablo just sent replacement. The new one has been running for about two weeks and hasn’t had any issue but only watched 1 live show on Fox not ABC.
I’m having the same issue on a Tablo 2 Tuner
If you live in are area where the same virtual channel and network are broadcast on 2 different digital channels and you can receive both you need to make sure the gen 4 channel scan is picking the one you want.
I only have one channel like that and it will pick the last one discovered which is the weakest.
The scan does pick up 7.1 ABC in Detroit. There is also a FAST ABC in Detroit.
Watching a recording of Monday night football and after about 1-2 minutes it jumps out of the recording and back to the library list. Tried a couple of other recordings and they all act the same way. Can’t watch more than a minute or two before it jumps back to library. Plenty of space on hard drive. Reloaded Roku app with no change. Antenna signal is fine.
Received this from Tablo support. Seems to have fixed it for me:
. It seems like the issue might be related to the Roku OS 14 update, which has been known to cause problems with OTA (over-the-air) channels on some Roku models. Here are some steps you can try to resolve this issue:
- In SETTINGS for the Roku device itself (not the Tablo Roku app), navigate to: AUDIO → DIGITAL OUTPUT FORMAT → CUSTOM .
- Make sure DOLBY DIGITAL is selected for the DOLBY section - leave the DTS setting disabled.
- Return to your Tablo app and try playing an OTA channel again.
If the above does not resolve the issue, attempt the same steps but instead of CUSTOM select STEREO . This may resolve the problem.
I will give it a try tomorrow.
I have a lot of rokus some very old and some new. None have this problem. But they are all ultras. So what model are you using.
Using a Roku 3820R2 streaming stick with 14.6 software. This Roku stick was working fine till previous Tablo died.
