Issues with LG app 1.5.2 updated 10/24/24?

This morning my new 2024 LG TV running webOS24 9.2.0-22 will not connect to my 4th Gen Tablo four tuner - it just spins. It worked fine yesterday before this most recent update to Tablo 1.5.2. I’ve tried force quitting the app, rebooting the Tablo, power cycling the Tablo and deleting and reinstalling the app. I can access the Tablo with no problems using my iPad, only the LG TV is affected.

Is anyone else with a LG having issues this morning? I’m wondering if this is an issue with the app update. I submitted a ticket but received an autoreply that was not on point - not an older LG, not a bluescreen.

Hi there @HDKen, sorry to hear you’re encountering issues. When you say it won’t connect and just spins, where are you seeing that happen? Do you see your Tablo shown on the initial screen when you first open the app and see the issue after selecting it?

Hi! When I try to connect using the LG app, i first get the usual Tablo splash screen followed by a “Connecting to Tablo” message and the spinning wheel. After a period of time I get a message “This is taking longer than expected” with a disconnect button. I’ve tried letting it sit and spin and also disconnecting, nothing gets me past this point.

Has anyone had any luck with LG? This is so disappointing and such a waste for Tablo.

My LG has been acting fairly well - I still get failures to connect, but they are probably less than 20% of the time. Quitting and restarting the app usually fixes it, or in some cases I have to cycle the TV power.
