Issues with 4th gen

A couple issues I’m having :

  • I’ve noticed that some fully recorded episodes will, when playing from the beginning, jump ahead for no reason at all.
  • Out of sync audio/video.

I’ve tried power cycling the 4th Gen box and pressing the reset button but to no avail.

Any suggestions here?

What streaming device are you using?

Some recordings but not all? One particular channel? Fast channels?

Are you hardwired or wireless? Streaming box and Tablo?

Apple TV (pre 4k).

Local PBS channel. These are scheduled recordings and it’s not happening to every episode (Curious George).

Tablo is wireless.

Apple TV is hardwired.

Planning to Ethernet everything but that’ll be a bit of a project.

Download InSSIDer on your laptop to double check your wireless signal between your tablo and your wireless router.

Anything above -73 is the start of low signal. If your Tablo is right next to your wireless router, I would give it at least 1-2ft of distance, you can be “too hot” when it comes to signal. Like opening an oven door and that blast of heat hits you in the face.
