iOS app sometimes cannot find tablo

I have two tablos which I use via Roku and iOS. Roku app working OK and used almost daily.

I use the iOS apps on an iphone and an ipad. Both updated etc. The following problems have come up for a year or more. On the phone, it seems if I have not used the tablo app recently, and sometimes it’ll be a week or two, sometimes just a day or two, the app often tells me it can’t find one or both of my tablos. I use tablo on the ipad almost daily, but on rare occasions that app will also fail to find my tablos.

So the iphone tablo app is more likely to not be able to find my tablos. The corrective actions suggested on the screen, such as restart router or reset tablos with brief push of little button, sometimes work to get the app to find my tablos, but sometimes not. But generally if the iOS app(s) are not finding the tablos, I just watch something on another app. If I come back later, hours or days, the iOS app may work, or not.

Is this a known issue with the iOS app–“use it or lose it”? Or do I have a network issue on my side?
My problem or theirs?

I’m experiencing the same issue. iphone app doesn’t find tablo, but everything work with android tablets, roku and appletv…

Not sure but my 16 Pro Max and 17 Pro Max both work fine. I have friends still trying to use  8-10 year SE’s or whatever old phones with all kinds of problems with things.

That is odd @bilbilivo,

Is your iPhone connected to the same network as your Tablo? For instance, if it’s on the guest network or has been using data at home, that may be why you can’t connect.

It seems to me that the problem with network detection is more likely to be with the iOS app than with the Tablo itself. Try restarting your routers and making sure all devices are connected to the same network. This usually helps, but there is one thing that Tablo can lose connection to if it is not used for a while.
