When you connect to my.tablotv.com do you see a Re-scan… button? Hit it.

Are you consistently getting the “A connection to the Tablo servers could not be established. Please check your internet connection.” error when going to my.tablotv.com?
Do you ever see this?
If you do, then click on the ‘Search Again’ button.
Also you mentioned a “switch”, are you connecting your Tablo via an Ethernet cable directly to your router?
Or is there a network switch involved?
- What is the make and model of your router?
- What is the make and model of your modem? (Router and modem are different things)
