Yesterday, I was having issues with my Onn Google TV Pro device. The home screen just asking to hit Retry (this is the device home screen, not Tablo.) The Live tab was also not working properly. I ended up Factory resetting, only to find out after some Googling this is a known issue with some Google profiles and devices.
So, when setting it back up, I tried to load the Legacy Tablo app. No matter how I searched, it would only display a bunch of YouTube videos. Luckily, on the apps tab, there was a row for “Installed on other devices” that listed it, and several others I was having trouble finding. To be honest, I don’t know how I found it originally. In the Entertainment option on that apps tab that lists popular apps, the Gen4 Tablo app was listed if you scrolled enough.
Just curious what magic combination of words people used to actually get the app listed and not just videos. (I had to use “PBS Video” to get their app for example.) Or it could have been related to the user account issues.
I have one of those, and the only place that I can tell to launch either the 4th gen Tablo app or the Legacy Tablo app is under “My apps” (which should be a horizontal list of all your installed apps with an icon and name). If you use the Tablo a lot, I do suggest moving the Tablo icon toward the far left so that it is more visible.

The main issue I had was just finding it to install in the first place. I couldn’t find the proper phrasing for it to search only apps, and not also YouTube videos. All of the app install options on the box I could obviously find just go to the same screen.
For the Google TV…
I ran into this issue on my Google Chromecast for Google TV (4k) for the past 3 days, too.
I was about to try deleting app cache, and data this morning, which is what some said would fix it, but it fixed itself.
I installed the legacy app today, and it had me go to Google Play, where I had to search for “Tablo”. But it did find it, and I could install it (and it had both apps if needed).
