I’ve been using TabloExporter for a few months. At first it was flawless. Everything recorded could be extracted to my local HD. Lately (past 6 weeks or so) I’m running into files that inexplicably fail, seemingly randomly–new files MAY extract, but they also might not. They all play back fine through the Tablo interface; I just can’t extract them for some reason. I’ve tried all the usual things. Reinstalling TExporter, reestablishing the Save To directory to a new directory; at one point my Tablo froze requiring a reboot, but that didn’t change the behavior of extracting files that didn’t extract before.
So, now I’m beginning to wonder: Could the firmware updates for Tablo possibly affect how TExporter operates? For instance the drive was originally formatted with an earlier firmware version which is slowly migrating away from the original that the TExporter jar was installed with. Is it possible that forcing a reformat of the HD (ie a factory reset) could also get TExporter’s jar to extract recorded files properly?
Maybe some java experts have some insight on the interplay between firmware of the app, the formatting of drives, and the host computer’s java implementation?
