How to disable "Don't record duplicates" on per-show basis?

I had to uncheck “Don’t record duplicates” in order to get nighly news to record - but now I’m ending up with tons of duplicates of other shows. This led to automatic deletions before I want since I’ve burned through my “keep last 10 episodes” with duplicates.

How do I only do “Don’t record duplicates” for certain scheduled recordings?

I do not think that is an option. Try a manual record for the news. Plus sign upper right of Scheduled screen.
