HDD disappears in 2.2.8, "No hard drive connected" and recordings fail

2.2.8 has destroyed my Tablo. HDD always disappears. The HDD I had for months “appeared” to fail so I used another…then another…then another…then another…now even a simple USB 64GB thumb drive fails. Pathetic. Why does this happen and how can it be fixed. Tablo is a useless brick now.

If you have a hard drive that is powered by the USB port, plug it in. The hard drive power light should be on, and if not, the USB port is bad.

The original HDD was external power…I tried 3 other HDDs with 3 separate enclosures…one WAS USB powered…and of course the flash drive. All works and is recognized but 12 hours later…“No Hard Drive Detected.” I’ve even re-formatted in NSTF and made Tablo re-format the drives again after they “fail.” Storage keeps disappearing no matter what.

Junk Tablo…early adopter had it for over a year (so no warranty)…put up with all the updates and limited early use…pathetic. Can’t believe I thought this could work.

@WilyPuma - Sorry to hear you’re having such a rough time. Can you please touch base with our support team so we can give you a hand? http://support.tablotv.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

@WilyPuma - We’re running a little bit behind right now but we’re working on getting caught up. Thanks for your patience.

Ok. Sorry. Just frustrated. Everything was fine and now I’m wasting time and worried I will need to buy another Tablo. I’ve already made a sizable investment in Tablo btwn a $200 device and a $150 lifetime licence. Have recommended Tablo as cord-cutting solution to all my friends…I just feel like Tablo has betrayed me.
