Have the announced software changes to the 4th gen Tablo been made?

After the 4th generation Tablo server outage a couple weeks ago, I received this email from Tablo:

Has there been any announcement about these proposed software updates? I tried using my Tablo yesterday when my router’s WAN interface was down, and I couldn’t access it - even thought I could ping the Tablo from computers in my LAN.

Do these changes require a firmware update for the Tablo units? Or are they being implemented server-side? Any timeline?

I could be wrong about this, but this will probably require a firmware update. Which can take time to develop and implement.

Why was my post flagged? I’m not seeing anything offensive?

You’re probably correct. I wonder if the firmware access will make the 4th generation Tablo work like older models, which could be accessed directly over the LAN by streaming players. We might even get a web client - wouldn’t that be nice?!!

Did you leave any personal information in the image you shared?

No. I blanked it out.

That was odd.

We’ve cleared the flag.

It’s great that you cleared the flag, but you didn’t answer his original question.

“coming soon”. I’m not sure I would expect this type of change to happen over night.
