I came across an Android TV app that (as far as I can tell) is supposed to integrate streaming sources into Android TV’s live channels. I am not sure if the way it sees and handles streams is compatible with Tablo. The developer can not test because he is in Europe. I can not test because I still do not have a Tablo yet.
(From Google Play)
Features:
- Load M3U playlist (local or from internet)
- Programs (EPG) in XmlTV and JTV formats
- Load channels logo
- Multicast/UDP, DASH, HLS, HTTP Progressive, RTMP
- MPEG-TS, mp4
- h264/h265/MPEG-2/AC-3/MP2/MP3/… etc. (depends on decoders installed on the device)
- Add your own archives with logo or EPG
(from Twitter)
And other improvements for streams handling. HLS, MPEG-TS, MP3 in FLV. Better adaptive track selection.
I think it may be currently limited to Nexus player and Shield TV.
