Has anyone remote access to work with a vpn tablo 4th gen?

I’m using an OpenVPN client on my mobile devices to connect to my Tablo v4 that’s behind an OpenWRT based router which supports both Server and Client VPN services for OpenVPN, WireGuard, and Tor, and other VPN services like Tailscaale.

If it’s not working when your VPN client is connected to your home network, then try enabling IGMP Snooping if it’s available on your router which might help.

Out of home steaming coming to 4th gen

Until they bring their version of out-of-home access to the new Tablo v4, I was able to use my iPad from another family members home over 100 miles away with my iPad connected to my GL.iNet OpenVPN (TCP) connection to my place where the Tablo v4 is located to watch stuff from the Tablo v4 remotely for now. It seemed to work OK, but that was before all of the recent software and firmware updates.

I use a TCP OpenVPN connection both-ways between two GL.iNet routers, and mobile devices can access the Tablo v4 on the other end just like your setup. I’m thinking it’s because the mobile client setup uses the account login process so it might be getting the Tablo IP address from the cloud. And, like you are experiencing, my Fire TV device didn’t connect.
