Guide Data Not Downloading

@MsMetaP this sounds just like my day 1 experience, way back in April. As I recall the Android app used my device location to determine my city and hence guide data… That seemed slick and like a good idea, but even after 24hrs I didn’t have guide data… So, I bypassed the device location lookup and used the zip code option… Typing in the zip code for the nearest big city. This loaded up guide data right away. I would give that a try.

Yes, every time I open the android app I also have to tell it to reconnect. We can all hope for Tablo android shortcuts someday or some nifty widgets.

I had to do a factory reset on my tablo after first getting it. My first attempt loaded data for only one channel. After the factory reset, everything came in without issue.

Support finally had me remove the Tablo from my tablet then re-add it. Once I did that the guide data appeared almost instantly. Everything is working now.

I received my 4-tuner Tablo on Friday, and I’m having

trouble getting a stable consistent TV Guide showing on televisions (Roku3), PCs
(Win7) and Notepads (Android) for watching “Live TV” or “Scheduling” Channels. I’m still trying to understand why the
televisions are not showing all available channels on the Live TV listing.
Using the Tablo web based app, I check mark the channels, but not all get added
to the guide. When checking channels to add to guide, some take and some do
not. I’m using Tablo app web-based service on Chrome browser, because the android app is too unstable
and crashes.

Update to my post above: PC and Notepad 1 show 26 channels under Live TV (and the channels can be
viewed). The 2 TVs with Roku 3 and Notepad
2 show only 13 channels under the Live TV listing. I do not know what causes this inconsistency

@streambird - deleting and reinstalling the Tablo app on the Roku should fix your Roku. Assuming you are accessing Tablo through a browser on “notepad 2”, clearing your browser cache should clear that up.

Of course, the above advice assumes PC and notepad 1 are correctly showing 26 channels. If the Tablo thinks there are 13 channels, it’s PC and notepad 1 that need their browser caches cleared.

Rescanned several times then tried to populate. Got it now! Found out that I needed to update firmware on Apple TV to solve another issue. All n all happy with the tablo 4 tuner. It is going to be an important component in my AV total solution.

What thrills me the most is the potential this has moving forward to be a total integrated tv solution. I like what you are doing with Plex. I like the direction you are taking it. I have told many people about tablo, You can count on my loyalty as long as you continue to innovate and improve the product.

Just downloaded the guide & selected my channels but hardly any of the data is working this is in Cypress TX. Is there something else I should be doing? I’m a new user.

@autumn87 - Are some of the channels empty in your grid guide for live TV? If so, try another nearby zip code to see if it populates immediately but also please touch base with support and let them know what channels you’re missing so we can make sure they get added.
