I had a 4th Gen Tablo 2 tuner and sold it in order to buy a refurb 4 tuner model. Ordered the refurb from Walmart. Arrived today.The box was glued shut so tight I had to destroy it to get inside… stupid…stupid…stupid.
Whoever packed this “refurb” ripped the boxes that hold the power supply and ethernet cable because they were too lazy to open the boxes on the correct end and just pushed the stuff into the bottom of the boxes. There were no adhesive strips to stick the included antenna to the window to be found.
I called Tablo customer support and told the woman all this and she said to return it to Walmart. Walmart didn’t refurb this Tablo did. Walmart didn’t forget the sticky strips Tablo did. Walmart wasn’t in such a hurry to package the Tablo and accessories they ripped the little boxes Tablo did. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told no supervisor would take the call.
I tried to chat but grew weary waiting for someone live to join the chat.
Walmart did a competent job packing the Tablo box in one of theirs and Walmart is not responsible for Tablo’s poor quality control.
Tablo’s poor quality control in the refurb department and English challenged customer support has cost Tablo a loyal customer. I am REALLY disappointed in Tablo.
I will return this Tablo to Walmart . Tablo is another example of a company with a GREAT product, poor customer service, and support agents who can’t be understood.
Hey @justalurker -
So sorry that you experienced this. What you described with reused boxes, incorrect packing and missing items is not reflective of our standard refurbishment process.
We would like to get some additional information from you so we can investigate and make this right.
If you can please share your ticket number, we’d like to reach out directly with some follow-up questions.

I ain’t going to lie here… but you’re upset over a damaged and glued box? As long as the product works, it would be a wash right?
This kinda sounds outrageous.
Reply to Tablo TV…
As I stated in my post Refurb as new bought from Walmart nor direct from Tablo BUT it is a sealed Tablo refurb so no ticket number. I have communicated with multiple Tablo agents BUT not one was the least concerned with this problem so I will return it to Walmart.
If you want to discuss this further email me.
If that was all there was wrong but there was something missing in the box.
I didn’t bother to hook it up. When it say refurb as new that is what I expect not a box packaged by a monkey.
And the lack of concern on Tablo’s part is what angered me most.

K… What was missing in the box tho? I must be blind because I didn’t see that in your initial post.
The condition of the box still seems over the top.
@KimichiGUN
Read my post again… “There were no adhesive strips to stick the included antenna to the window to be found”
What bothered me more was that it seemed like someone was in this box based on the condition of the stuff inside, THAT WASN’T PICTURED in my post, then resealed the box and put it back in inventory.
Pretty sure it wasn’t Walmart because they just get the box from the inventory holding facility in Lousiville, KY , put it in a Walmart box, slap on a UPS label then it goes across the street to UPS.
This is really a matter of what a customer is willing to accept whenn they spend their money.
I bought a Tablo refurb advertised AS NEW and it wasn’t.
If YOU were willing to accept less then that is your choice.
Would the word “refurb” not indicate it was NEW?

@Chasbury
I trusted what they said… and expected no less. Not NEW but AS NEW.

I didn’t post seeking help. I just wanted others to be aware of my experience.
There is no need to continue this thread. I stated my position as clearly as I could.
What anyone else would do doesn’t interest me and has no bearing on my decision.
If there is a response from Tablo I will post it here.
broooo… it didnt include command strips that you can buy at dollar general for $5?
@KimchiGUN…
Seems that along with your adolescent sense of humor you can’ t read…
“What bothered me more was that it seemed like someone was in this box based on the condition of the stuff inside, THAT WASN’T PICTURED in my post, then resealed the box and put it back in inventory”.
Don’t you have anything better to do than waste bandwidth…
