Gen 4 stuck at 'scan for channels'

Just opened the app on my tablet and both of our Gen 4 tablos keep going through a bit of the setup. First they ask if I want to set up the antenna, then they say that a channel scan is required. That’s no big deal but after I rescan and save it just goes right back to saying channel scan required and won’t advance.

Some more info:

Same problem on my Android phone as on my Android tablet. Neither device has updated the app recently.

Checking on our main TV via Roku - seems to be working fine (still playing the channel we were watching this morning).

Checking on another TV via Google Chrome stick - working fine as far as I can tell.

I would quickly press the reset button on the bottom of the unit for one-second or less.

Thanks but it seems to be something with the Android app interfacing to the units - they’re working fine (as far as I can tell) with the TVs via both Roku & Chromestick.
Hold on while I check the app again…

And as I hoped, it’s now working fine. Don’t know what the problem was but it seems like they fixed it!

So if you get this problem the apparent fix is to wait a few hours.

Well just FYI - I tried doing a scan on my Android app just now, and have the same issue. So I went to a Roku device and did the scan, and it worked fine.

Some added info - When doing the scan with the app, it said there were 131 channels found. But then is said it failed to save the lineup, and another scan was required. This would constantly repeat. but when doing the successful scan on Roku, it found (and saved) 139 channels.

I agree with you that its the app that has issues.

It may be worth a shot to clear your Android’s app cache.
