Gen 4 no multiple thumbnails on pause

Legacy 4 user for 4+ years. Very happy with overall performance.
Upgraded to Gen4 4 tuner 2 weeks ago. I have a couple of issues.
Configuration… Wifi connected on a 300m down and 300 up fiber ATT internet.
I have tested this problem on my LG HD tv, Samsung phone and Chromebook.
The TV will not show the thumbnails on pause. It will show one thumbnail on for the cursor position but not all.. It also dims the picture for about 5 seconds. Weird.
The TV is new 55" UHD LG. I downloaded the Tablo App from LG.

The Samsung phone will show all the thumbnails sometimes. Other times it acts like the TV, but it does not dim the picture.

The Chrome book does not show all the thumbnails but does show one at the cursor position of pause.

Next issue is on pause and if you want to scan back up a bit the TV and Chromebook will not do it. If you back up, example, a minute, the time will show that you did but when you let go of the button the time goes back to where it was. If you do a pause, go forward a min, then go back XX minutes, past the position you were before the fwd 1 min it will do it.
I know it’s difficult to explain in a way to be easy to understand.

probably due to the key frame coding or something like that in the stream.. see if the problem is on an OTA broadcast from one of the majors like ABC, NBC etc..

My example is recorded programs from the Majors.

i have that happen, but typically a sub channel on one of the higher number station.. on those, if i pause at a commercial break, i can move 10 seconds per click, and click forward usually on 12 clicks ( 2 minutes) or 18 clicks ( 3 minutes).. that helps to skip the commercials which i think is why you care about the preview thumbs..

Correct, I do the same. Wish it worked like the legacy Tablo worked.
Have not seen the TV do any full screen thumbnails nor the Chromebook. Did see my phone do it a couple of times.
Don’t like the dimming on the pause and a bit of delay when un-pause.
