Transfer HD to new Tablo
Add the ability to transfer or move an existing hard drive from one Tablo to another. This is separate from a request to backup or restore data.
I know that it is implied, but you might want to be a bit more specific and add that all current recordings and settings if they are saved to the harddrive be accessible on the new Tablo unit.
The Legacy Tablos hardrives could be transferred and if you did it correctly, you could also transfer all of your current settings, such as recording schedules.
Would this be for Legacy devices only?
I don’t own any Legacy devices.
I also don’t use an external HDD to record on the Gen4.
I couldn’t possibly support this Feature Request.
I talked it over with my cat and no one is willing to support this change. 
Oh wait! I don’t have a cat. But if I did it wouldn’t support this request.
This already works on legacy. And any explanation was to makes sure it includes all current settings.
Wouldn’t that be up to Tablo to decide? I’m just asking for the feature but not telling them what to do. I think they will include all the things necessary to make this work - including settings and schedules.
EDIT: also, after rereading the request, it seems like I should have written “replace the existing HD with a new HD”.
