Thanks for the info. I’m assuming that the six second clips are written in time order. I’m thinking it might be possible to write a script to somehow stitch them together starting with
ls - lrt
Just need a video ripper that can concatenate clips together
That said, once you were finished reading the drive with Linux were you able to reconnect it back on to your Tablo with the recordings still being available?
Yes, but I was very careful. I powered down the Tablo completely. I then connected the SSD to my laptop running Ubuntu. I was very careful not to make any changes on the SSD. Instead, I copied the files to another drive I had and did my poking around there (this is when my Tablo was fairly new and I only had a few hours of recordings). I then returned the SSD to the Tablo and powered everything back up. As far as the Tablo was concerned, it just lost power for a while and didn’t know any different.
