DVR recording playback issue

New generation 4 Tuner Tablo
4k Firestick
Fios internet
Cat5 Connection

This issue just started.

When playing back a recording (PGA golf tournament in this case) if I stop playback by switching apps or turning tv off…when I return to watch again the recording will only start from the beginning.

The thumbnail shows the solid line underneath indicating the program has fully played. There is no resume episode option.

I want to pick up where i left off (like I used to).

As i said, this wonky issue is new.

Hi @Mr3Putt,

Can you confirm that when you switch apps or turn your TV off, you also pause the playback of the recording (or back out of the player) before you do that? If you left it playing, it may have continued while in the background and subsequently completed by the time you returned.

Should a proper Exit from the device also work the same way and stop the playback?

Yes. I stop/close and exit the app correctly.

I just did a quick science project….

I started a recording.
Watched for 3 minutes.
Paused it.
Hit the back button on the remote. (Firestick)
The recording shows completed. (blue bar filled)

This is the case ::most:: of the time. Some recordings work/playback as they should
