Difference in Picture Quality between Apps

Recently got a 4th gen four tuner Tablo. I’m using it primarily with an LG C4 TV with an attached Apple TV (4K 1st gen). For viewing, I primarily use the Apple TV but sometimes try the native LG WebOS app. I’ve noticed a difference in picture quality between the two. The picture on the LG app seems washed out - brighter but less contrast. The Apple TV picture is more balanced. The Apple TV is using 4K Dolby Vision for video and “Match Content” is OFF so the Apple TV is reencoding the video for the TV.

Are there any options in the LG TV app to adjust the video?

Sometimes it can be as simple as the picture quality settings on your TV. Have you configured the HDMI input settings that your AppleTv uses exactly the same as the TV’s settings?
