Both of my smart TVs are connected to my router via Ethernet. I’ve read the Tablo Setup guide, but it describes connecting the Tablo to the TVs only via Wi-Fi.
I don’t want to buy a Tablo if I cannot use the Ethernet connections from the router and disable the Tablo’s Wi-Fi or ignore the Tablo’s Wi-Fi. Is that easily done?
Plug in Ethernet into Tablo before you turn it on for the first time. If it has an ethernet connection it won’t use the wireless.
That’s what I did. I basically followed the instructions (I know, right?)
Perhaps it wasn’t mentioned in the guide because it’s so simple. I don’t like to use Wifi either. I plugged in the ethernet cable and it just worked.
