Commercial skip not playing on playback and other problems

My iPhone and Apple TV apps are showing that commercial skip “worked”, but on playback they do not skip commercials. Also, I used to see the yellow bars on recordings where the commercials were, but now there’s nothing. Furthermore, when I try fast-forwarding through the commercial segments I used to see the time in the recording so I could jump ahead by X minutes, but not now.

Summary: my Tablo is now pretty sh**y and it just started a few days ago.Was it caused by the recent “upgrade”?

First it’s worth noting that Automatic Commercial Skip will only be available on completed eligible recordings.

However, if you’re not seeing the yellow lines it seems like you may have accidentally turned the feature off in the player itself. It can be re-enabled easily with these instructions:
