GoogleTV || Legacy Tablo
Recorded Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune watching with captions on, they come before they should (giving away the answer). You might say “just turn them off” but I would prefer not to.
Is this a common issue? Is there any way to correct?

It could be a temporary broadcasting issue. I’ve seen both early and late over the years while watching live OTA. One day it’s off, the next it’s fine.
How many recordings/live airings have you experienced this on?
All of them. For many months. But when the MIL comes over and starts complaining, you start investigating. Hahaha
Could the actual CC be embedded in the OTA broadcast and not locally controllable.

Checking with Wheel of Fortune on the Legacy Tablo Android app via Pixel 9, the captions seem to align much more closely with the words spoken as compared to the same episode watched via my Hisense Google TV. I’m wondering if the player application is “the culprit”. Android phone app vs Google TV app…? There are no settings I can find to modify the CC speed/delay in either of the two applications so I’m not sure it is user-configurable.
Do you think legacy H.264 transcoding may be the difference. When you google CC speed what does all that information imply about CC speed.
