With my Roku I have decent control over the formatting of CCs but not with my Fire TV (or TiVo Stream 4K). I use them often with PBS shows where accented English is the norm, along with slang that can confuse me. Is this beyond Tablo’s control when working with Android-based streaming devices?

Some devices have platform-specific closed captioning settings that can override or adjust how CC looks.
Fire TV doesn’t have these but some Android TV platforms do.
