Chromecast needs a lot of work

I am glad there is some support for Chromecast, but it looks like all it can do now is play a live TV show or recording using the Google app or Chrome browser on a PC/Chromebook.


The big limitation is that once the show is “cast”, you can’t pause, fast forward/skip, or rewind.  Hopefully that functionality will be added soon.  

Support for iPad and smartphones has already been requested by others.

@snowcat - Once we get the new development hires completed there will be a lot more time devoted to Roku & Chromecast. Plus, Google is apparently issuing a new firmware for the Chromecast itself so make sure you grab that too.
