On Android phone Tablo App the OTA is showing Captions but cannot see it on Samsung TV app for OTA
I Can see there was a update for the App on 09/24/2026 on Samsung Tv , after reinstall still there is no Captions for OTA programs
Any ideas

Closed captioning isn’t supported on OTA for Samsung & LG due to software limitations. You can read more about it here:
There is a workaround in the latest Samsung app for recordings, which is to enable Audio Compatibility Mode and record everything in stereo vs. surround sound.
When set to ON, this will cause all live TV and recordings to default to stereo sound versus surround sound. When recorded in stereo sound, closed captioning will be supported on newly completed OTA recordings saved to internal storage. Closed captioning will remain unavailable on in-progress recordings, recordings saved to external storage, or those in surround sound as the video must be in stereo and have completed the archiving process to be turned into an MPEG-4 file to work.
As per instructions have setup
Audio Compatibility Mode ON
Started recording and inspite of doing this the Closed Captions are not showing on the Newly Recorded program
Do you have an external hard drive connected? If you do, the 4th Gen won’t archive on that.
If you don’t, it will take some time to finish the archiving process, usually about twice the length of the recording.
