Can't set programs to record

I just bought and set up a Tablo. When I went to set a few programs to record via the Android app it did not work. For example, I selected Jeopardy, hit record, and see nothing under scheduled programs. I tried that procedure multiple times to no avail.

I then installed the Roku Tablo app and tried recording all new episodes of Survivor and The Amazing Race, and again nothing is showing up under Scheduled recordings. Am I doing something wrong?

FYI - this was intended to be a backup recording system; my primary recording is via Plex and Windows Media Center using HDHomeRun units. You could say I am a power DVR user, so I’m concerned that something so simple is already not working on the Tablo.

I know that this may sound nuts, but wait a little while. I have found that a new Tablo sometimes needs to ‘settle in.’ If it is connecting to your phone and your streaming device, and you are able to watch live OTA programming, and also the included FAST channels, you likely have everything set up correctly. Check it again in 24 hours and let us know if it has corrected itself.

You’re right, that does sound nuts. :joy: However, it looks like you are correct. After letting it “sit there” for about 14 hours it appears programs are correctly registering when I set them to record. Weird! Thanks for the tip, hopefully this kind of thing doesn’t happen often.
