What happened to the Nighthawk router though? Got rid of it?
No. I kept it. The AT&T router is in the basement, like Spectrum’s was. Ethernet lines run up to the second floor and connect to the Nighthawk. I no longer have lag while multitasking. Everything’s great so far.
Well as long as the Tablo is connected to the AT&T modem / router, it will work remotely.
I just meant have you turned off the DHCP server in the Nighthawk so WiFi clients aren’t on different subnets?
I had tried that back when nothing worked and didn’t find that it made a difference. The tablo was never connected to the Nighthawk by WiFi so I don’t think that was an issue. The Nighthawk was, and is, the only WiFi in the house (briefly I had a second router’s WiFi on while looking for a solution but prefer to only run one WiFi network to prevent channel crowding and interference).
