I have an issue that I can’t find a solution for. I recorded a show that did not record correctly, BUT it didn’t come back as a failed recording. It just simply plays a minute or less with glitches and then tries repeating. It shows as a one hour recording even though it’s one minute. My options are: resume episode (this doesn’t work, I play it through and resume never goes away), watch from beginning, stop recording episode, and protect episode. No delete. Using any of these four (resume, watch from start, stop recording or protecting/unprotecting) does nothing to fix the problem. I tried going into Recording Options and selected Keep last 1 episode, thinking when it records another episode, the bad one would go away. Waited a week, did just that, and that didn’t work either. Now, it has happened again with another show. Exact same issue start to finish - failed recording not recognized as failed, etc, etc, etc. How can I remove these from my library?? Please advise. Thanks, john
Might help if you mentioned your Tablo version and your tv setup (smart tv, roku, onn, firetv, etc).
Ken
Tablo 4th gen, fully updated, onn box. I don’t think the TV or streaming box have anything at all to do with my problem.
You would be surprised as each app is slightly different for the different players. I have not seen what you have going on and I have a Firestick and a Roku Ultra device. Hope I don’t either
I use a Roku on our other rarely used TV. The problem is the same when using Tablo on that device. Two recordings that simply can’t be deleted. It’s not a big deal, but it is frustrating to have a problem and not be able to resolve it. Hoping Tablo helps me out.
See that is the information that is might be helpful. It has happened on different devices. Did you try clearing the Cache of the Tablo apps.
Hello,
Would you be willing to send us logs from your Tablo? If so, please send us a DM, and we’ll share instructions on how to set up your Tablo for such.
This has happened to us with bad recordings. Usually a partial recording or one that breaks up at times while watching (bad signal). In my case we watch all the other recordings for the selected show and delete them all as we go the normal way. But then there’s that one that won’t delete. While in that recording (that won’t delete), I arrow up to the selection named “manage episodes”. You then get a choice to delete watched or delete all. We use the delete all to get rid of the one that does not want to delete the normal way. Again, this will delete ALL recordings for that TV show/recording. I only use this method after all other episodes have been watched and deleted and the only one remaining is the one that won’t delete.
Excellent. This worked. I can’t believe I overlooked the manage episodes option at the top, but alas, I did. Thank you a million!
You are very welcome. I overlooked it for a while as well. I think we had an undeleted Judge Judy for over a month until I started snooping around. This feature is available on the legacy models as well but it’s simply named “delete” instead of “manage episodes”.
