I don’t know why Tablo don’t have picture in picture (PiP) ? that’s a feature that I want and probably a lot of people want. It would make it a much better app if they just did that so please, Tablo can you do it?

I don’t believe this is a feature Tablo can provide. Such a feature would come from you streaming device, and Tablo would just be one of several inputs.
I would also like their mobile streaming app(s) to do this too on my mobile devices. I know I can’t do this on my TV since it doesn’t have PiP (picture in picture) or PbP (picture by picture) modes.
Not PiP, but I’m able to use split screen view on my Samsung Galaxy phone with Tablo being one of the two Split View apps which also allows me to view the Tablo app in portrait mode even though the Android app doesn’t do portrait natively. And on my iPadOS 26, I’m able to shrink the Tablo app to a Window in Windowed mode, but it has size limits and won’t allow resizing the app smaller than half the screen, but it does seem to play in the background of other Windowed apps.

Philo added this feature. I detest it. They didn’t add it as a feature you can select. It’s there every time you leave a program. I really, really hate it, but I know it’s a popular feature for a lot of people.
So what is the best idea for PiP on Tablo?
I wouldn’t know. One stream of TV is enough stimulation and thus providing higher levels of stimulation via multiple streams is something I don’t needed. Maybe I need to have my dopamine level checked.
I like how Zapperbox does things. When you bring up the guide, you can still watch TV in a PIP, same with doing many other things.
Very nice, love it, one thing I hate about Tablo, no PIP so have to sit in silence when doing anything.

I do like the compact picture on the guide. I know that my TiVo had that, as well as my later DirecTV DVR. In fact, I seem to remember that it had that compact picture on most of the menu pages.

I believe the suggestion is referring to watching two TV channels at once from the Tablo app. That should be doable.

Not to get off topic, but the Philo feature can be closed. I use Google TV and it gives me the option to press the select button and it gives me the option to close or reopen the picture.
Please add pip. I really want to be able to watch while flung other stuff on my phone.

Please add pip to the Roku app. I have a quad tuner that always has a spare tuner that I would like to use for this feature. Common feature for a product with this type of hardware in application
