I am back now (and it was a wonderful vacation). I will say that unless your hotel has a really good connection (which is very rare), the Tablo probably won’t be used much on trips with hotels. I had to reduce the Tablo Connect bandwidth to 500 kbps to have any kind of consistent streaming on my iPad, and it doesn’t look very good at that resolution. At higher speeds, it streams for about a minute and then buffers a lot. I really just used it to watch the end of the World Cup final in English.
I plan on using it more during my fall break trip where I likely will be staying at a rent-by-owner place, which usually had good internet.
