Yep, it has been working as my sports backup for two years now. When people say that fast action sports on 1080i stations don’t show up well through the Tablo, I recommend the Homeworx (just for sports). Can’t beat mpg2 recordings or direct HDMI viewing.
The other day my wife deleted a program by mistake I had recorded on the Tablo. Since I wanted to be absolutely sure of having it, I had also recorded in the first place it on the Homeworx. We do that for every show we absolutely want recorded without fail - use both the Tablo and the Homeworx to record the same show.
Bonus is that the Homeworx gets two stations the Tablo doesn’t. It has a better tuner. In fact the only tuner in my house that beats it is the LG on my smart TV (it gets 3 stations the Tablo doesn’t).
After two years of use, this box has basically cost me about a buck a month…
